First Home Care was cited by the Virginia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services (DBHDS) during an unannounced license renewal inspection for violations of standards for job descriptions, minimum staff qualifications, first aid training, and treatment planning.
During the inspection, DBHDS found an employee’s resume did not have the required year of clinical experience for the position the employee had at the program. The program had been previously cited for the same violation a year before in September 2012 which can be found here.
The inspector also found no evidence of Adult CPR training for two employees who provide services to adult clients. Lastly, there was no evidence of a job description in the personnel files for three employees who were MHSS Counselors.
DBHDS also cited the program for not having a modified treatment plan to address a patient’s suicide diagnosis that was outlined in a Behavioral Intervention Plan.
The facility was required to submit a plan of correction to address these violations.
